The Next Chapter

Jun-2023

Our next album is out! We’ve made it! Focusing on charts and tunes from never-before-seen places on the homebrew world, I’m quite happy with how it turned out. There are links to it on the Current Projects page! Definitely check it out.

Ideally, all of these tunes will be played during one of our DND/Pathfinder sessions. I’ve tried to design this music not to take away from a session, but to add to it. There’s a vast mixture of genres in this release ranging from tavern music to deep dwarven temple music. Not sure if that’s a genre or not yet, but, well, it may be now.

Going forward, I’ve got some ideas that I’d like to start working on. They range from website modifications, a giant interactable map of the homebrew world that I’ve created, as well as new musical genres or at least music ranging in different universes.

Warhammer 40k, I’m looking at you. I’m looking at you intently and seriously. The niche and genre of music for tabletop games I feel is slim and underpopulated. I’d absolutely love to take it by storm. My goal and vision is that of TTRPG music that is in-depth, tailored and custom fit to your game. I want it to be the music that you make some good memories to. I absolutely love it when I hear a player or two of mine whistling along with the tunes. It’s just too cool!

Ideally, I want to flush out each of the major cities in the world as well as do some serious worldbuilding. Found a new guy on YouTube called MonsterGarden. He’s insane. The mind behind this guy is just simply astonishing. His attention to detail, working of mechanical systems in his world, and even the redefinition of magical ideas in his land is just simply inspiring. It’s made me really want to start more efforts in worldbuilding.

It’d be a half decent plan for me to do similar videos that he has. Taking in ideas and concepts about the cities in our world, and designing thematic content around that. I’d really love to have an album for each major spot in the game, outlining different ideas or historical events that may have happened there. All, of course, in the respective genre of the location.

So many ideas, so little time. Such confused brain. It’s been an awfully stressful couple of weeks across the board. It’s incredibly difficult to pump out creative content in the face of real-life struggles and dilemmas. However, I find that after navigating through the storms, I come back rejuvenated. Excited to produce content. Because of how much I love this stuff. It’s absolutely incredible the amount of fulfillment and passion that accompanies the music I’m producing. Overall, I definitely realize the benefits and output of my time into music. It’s unrivaled.

I’ve got an actual saxophone gig coming up here soon, and that’s incredibly exciting. I’ve missed playing real music with real people. I’ve super hermit-mode with this last kid and job. It’s been great, but also totally different than what I expected and where I’d expected to be right now. But that’s okay! We’re learning and growing in the own respective ways that we can here presently, and that’s the goal.

Anyway. I think that’s enough ramble about music, production, and overall life that the search engine optimization should at least recognize a bit of what we talked about.

Let me know what you think about the new album! Until next time.
